Terms and Conditions :
- The required age is 21
- Driver's license and passport must be presented when the rental contract is drawn up.
- The additional driver must be mentioned on the contract when the vehicle is picked up, so that the insurance cover is effective.
- Material damage caused to the vehicle by an unauthorized driver is entirely at the renter's expense.
Payment and terms of payment :
Payment in advance by cash or credit card (Visa, Mastercard, AMEX, Diners Club).
Minimum rental period :
- The minimum duration is one day, calculated in non-fractional 24-hour blocks.
- The lease is concluded for a fixed period and will be fixed on the contract when the vehicle is picked up.
Deposit :
The deposit must be paid in cash or by credit card, and will be returned to the tenant on expiry of the contract and after all obligations have been fulfilled. The deposit is only valid for the rental period and cannot be used for a unilateral extension without the prior agreement of Tourvilles.
Insurance and additional protection :
In accordance with current regulations, the rental of a TOURVILLES vehicle automatically entitles the lessee and the drivers named on the rental contract to civil liability insurance ( Civil Liability Car Rental ), covering bodily injury and property damage that may be caused to third parties, on or off the road.
Material damage caused to the rented vehicle is also insured, subject to a deductible. The lessee may take out additional protection to deduct the amount of this deductible, in return for additional insurance cover per day, which varies according to the category of vehicle rented.
The lessee may improve his or her cover by taking out additional insurance for persons transported (PAI), also known as "cover for bodily injury to driver and passengers".
Obligations in the event of accident, theft or fire the lessee undertakes to take all necessary measures to protect the interests of the lessor.
- to immediately inform the lessor of any accident and to provide him with a legible copy of the accident report specifying the circumstances of the accident, signed by both parties.
- to declare theft or fire to the local authorities, to inform the lessor and provide him with the receipt for the declaration issued by the authorities, and to return all the vehicle's documents and the set of keys.
In the event of a breakdown , TOURVILLES does not undertake to provide the hirer with a vehicle of a specific model. However, we guarantee you a vehicle of the same category or a higher category in the event of non-availability.
Vehicle use :
Only drivers named on the rental contract are authorized to drive the rented vehicle.
The hirer undertakes not to use the vehicle on roads other than those suitable for motor vehicles or in any terrain not suited to the nature and strength of the vehicle. Any damage caused to the vehicle in this case will be charged to the hirer.
